Impossible Education

Impossible Education is a design school taught by Jeff Yokoyama.

This school is for aspiring young designers who have an interest in the clothing industry. Jeff offers over 30 years of experience with Maui and Son’s, Pirate Surf, Modern Amusement and Generic Youth brands. Impossible Education, offers small classes in eight week sessions that teach the whole process of producing a garment from the initial idea to the final product. His Costa Mesa based school is incorporated within his very creative retail store and students have the opportunity to sell the clothes they design in the store.

  1. Jeff Yokoyama is the best teacher I’ve ever had! I’m a senior now in college and I think I learned more at Impossible Education than I have in all 4 years combined at my university. There is no “turn to page 36″ or midterm exam…it’s all about following your creativity and passions. This class made my fashion dreams come true and actually possible!

  2. I am currently a sophmore in college, and I am frustrated with how we learn. I am studying to become an art teacher, and the idea that the old teaching style needs to make way for a new, more interactive and nurturing style of teaching really resonates with me. High school was uninteresting; in college I have to take classes I have no motivation to be in simply because it is what is required. It’s frustrating, and really drags me down. Thanks for this.
